I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but spiritual conflicts will never be resolved until The End.

No matter which side of an issue you're on, you're wrong if you didn't go to God first.

Was musing over Freud's theories and psychology and mental health. Mental illness and disorders, even those caused by chemical imbalances, have to be the result of being separated from God by sin, because man was created, in God's words, very good before the fall. I'm not saying to stop psychoanalysis and meds, but I do feel a lot more mental health was purchased for us on the cross than we realize. I have more on this topic. Messenger me if you're interested.

Psychology is man's attempt to understand how separation from God affected his mind and emotions without realizing that was the cause.

My definition of insanity is: living separated from God. My definition of Hell is: dying separated from God.

If you are feeling anxious for no particular reason, it means you have gone back to feeling everything is up to you. Keep going back to God and let him tell you, "Relax, I've got it."

Why would I want to read about someone who fought through tough times but came out "stronger?" If they didn't come out realizing their need for Jesus, their effort was wasted. Hard words, but true. Life is not what it appears on the surface.

The definition of a man: XY.
The definition of a woman: XX.

Here's the original pattern for the family as I see it in the Bible. A husband who is a biological man and a wife who is a biological woman. The wife is covered by the husband, the husband is covered by Jesus, and both are submitted to God. God will help you with whatever family you commit to Him, but His original pattern works best. But there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus and we live in a fallen world, so if you are trying to live as close as possible to the pattern, then kudos.

So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. 25 When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. 26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.”
But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”
This is an unusual story from the Bible and may have multiple lessons for us, but I want to bring out one I call: the principle of wrestling. When something bad happens, such as losing a loved one too soon, God doesn't expect us to just go on as though nothing happened. He wants us to come to Him and "wrestle" with Him over it for as long as it takes until you get an answer. But, like Jacob, you have to believe that there will be a blessing at dawn. There are dark hours before dawn but God always has a dawn. Perhaps this should be called: the principle of dawns.

What do you say when an adult says they prayed for someone not to die, yet they died? Or a child says their prayer wasn't answered. You explain that God sees the big picture, the beginning and the end. He knows if what you are praying for is what the situation needs. We pray for what we think is best but we have to leave the final say with God.

I believe things like empathy, intuition and love come from your human spirit, what the Bible calls your heart. Our human spirit didn't cease to exist because of Adam's disobedience, but it did die to God. It operates at only a fraction of what God intended. Worse, it can be deceived by Satan. Our human spirit is reborn to God through Jesus

Don't stress over someone's gender identity and pronouns. Stress Jesus. Their gender identity is between them and God.

Don't stress over someone's sexual orientation. Stress Jesus. Their sexual orientation is between them and God.

Let the following be tested by those who have “ears to hear:”
I have gone through a period of grieving for the America I grew up in. America will no longer be the land of opportunity in the way it has been. It will still appear that way on the surface for a while longer, but it is gone. Grieve some if you must, but don’t try to hold on to it. I am now finding a rising in my spirit of joy that God is doing a new thing in the land. America will be a land of spiritual opportunity, where we will go forth in the name of Jesus, and Jesus only. No promises of prosperity or an easy life, just Jesus. We can’t look back. Let no social issues or political issues control you. The old America has to die. But when God is in control, the new is always better. Don’t be discouraged. Be greatly encouraged.

Luke 10:38-42  As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”
I think we all start out trying to be a Martha instead of a Mary. If I had to say, I think one of the problems with the church today is that many want to do more to reach others for Jesus, but don’t know where to start. So they try, like Martha, to “do something” and often feel disappointed with the results, or don’t feel confident enough to even try. I suggest we need to spend some time as a Mary, and “sit at Jesus’ feet,” becoming more familiar with the One who died for us and with our Father in Heaven. Spend time praying, studying the Bible, meditating the Bible and meditating on God and Jesus. Give some thought to what giftings God has given you. He gave them to you to be developed and used for His purposes.

The private "speaking in tongues" (there is a public one) is the litmus test for how yielded one is to the Holy Spirit.

I ran across an article of 50,000 supposed contradictions in the Bible. After scrolling through 150 or so of them, which is all that were listed, they mostly fall into one of three categories:
Verses taken out of context- these result from someone who hasn't actually studied the Bible to any depth;
Numerical or genealogy or geographic differences- such as number in an army or name of someone's father or name of a town- these don't affect the spiritual meaning of the verses- God has preserved the spiritual meaning of each verse, not minor details;
God's character- The most serious are those attacking God's character- God has a different definition of things such as what is good- good to God is anything that gets you closer to him- sometimes He does things that don't look good to us- be assured that everything God does has the goal of redemption of fallen mankind.
The author obviously was not born again and didn't have a relationship with God. Don't be fooled by articles like this. Satan continually attacks the Bible because it is the Word of God.

Once again I cannot overemphasize the importance of being able to hear God's voice in the midst of fear-producing situations. It will calm your storm and guide you through the parted sea. Read books, seek those who know how. Do whatever it takes. It's that important.

4The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
I encounter people who shock me with how vehemently they oppose Christianity, Christians, Jesus and God. Then I realize the truth of the above verse in 1st Corinthians chapter 4. Our response is to pray their blindness be broken and keep offering them Jesus.

God created us for relationship with Him. We innately crave that whether we realize it or not. Even atheists do, though they do all they can to deny it. I think one thing prayer does is help us "scratch that itch," so to speak. As you pray, focus on how you can feel connected to God, just as you were created to be. Let that be an added incentive to want to pray because you want that feeling of closeness to our Father God.

A word on Christian cults: The one characteristic common to all Christian cults is a leader(s) who claims special standing with God that allows him or her to hear from God better than you so you need to give them control of your life. I should know, I was caught in one for several years. They don’t say it that bluntly, of course. Cults can happen in the smallest church to the largest denomination. I’m sorry to say, but Catholics and Mormons come perilously close to being one. I am open to discussing this claim with anyone. The Apostle Paul wrote we are to submit to all who are in spiritual authority over us. But the Bible lists their requirements both as leaders and just plain Christians. If the Bible is followed, those in authority would be the least likely to misuse their position.

Scrolling through the news:
1. Another young person, this time an actor, taking a break to address their mental health. And the world applauds them like it’s a good thing. No it isn’t. It’s another sign that the last few Godless generations of youth are defenseless against the power of sin and Satan.
2. Another Defund the Police city hiring more police officers. I’m going to get a little “out there” on this one. The amount of crime is not dependent on how much is spent on rehab and prevention training, but on how effective Christians are at being Christians. Satan will put his power into brutal dictators or leave everything as it is, whichever will cause the most people to live without Jesus. The wild card is what the Christians are doing. In America, the crime rate will not significantly decline, and may even go up, as long as Satan is being spiritually fought against by Christians. If not, the crime rate could actually go down as Satan encounters less and less opposition. Satan doesn’t care as long as more and more people are lulled into a false sense of security.

Again I feel compelled to issue what is best described as a warning to God's people that we must have our house in order, primarily in the areas of priority and purity. We must have God first in every part of our life. And we must be pure in every part of our life. Unlike those in the Old Testament, we have the Holy Spirit to help us. God expects us to recognize when the Spirit is "tapping us on the shoulder." This is what the Bible means by the parable of the ten virgins. Five had oil for their lamp to see in the darkness and five didn't. Oil represents the Spirit, and seeing in the darkness represents knowing what God is doing in the earth today. Let's heed this parable. Let's have ears to hear.

Satan aids false religions because it makes Christianity look bad, but he fights Christianity because it is the only thing he fears. Either way, religion is the focal point for spiritual warfare, which manifests as actual warfare in the physical world. That's why the world thinks religion is the cause of wars. Thinking that eliminating religion would eliminate war is foolishness. You would have to eliminate Satan's influence, and since Satan's power is due to sin, you would have to eliminate the power of sin, which is precisely what Jesus does. Jesus broke the power of sin on the cross.
