If you don't know what to do in a situation, God expects you to inquire of Him. If you don't know how to inquire of Him, God expects you to learn how to hear His voice. There are many good books and articles on hearing the voice of God.
"My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me."

To tell someone who is struggling to "just have faith" is, in my opinion, doing them an injustice.
Berean Literal Bible: So faith is from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
This verse says we have to hear a word from God in order to have faith for a difficult situation. The Greek for this word we must hear is rhema, which is not just what the Bible says, but what God speaks just to us for our situation. That's why it is so important to be able to hear God's voice.

There is true Christianity and there is incorrect Christianity. Much of what people see is incorrect Christianity. True Christianity flows from the reborn spirit of those who have accepted Jesus.

It must be nice believing in a higher power or aliens. They don't have to adhere to a Bible. You can give them whatever powers and virtues you want them to have. Unfortunately, they end up acting and thinking like you. You are essentially your own god.

5.
So aliens have conquered interspace travel and yet can't stay hidden once they get here?

The first half of John chapter 3 has it all. The defining characteristics of a Christian: human spirit reborn and able to be led by the Holy Spirit. How to become a Christian: believe in Jesus.

7.
You can fake everything in Christianity except being born again. That is a spiritual transaction that only God can do.

As an umbrella takes the wrath of the storm upon itself and you are spared, so Jesus took God's wrath against sin upon Himself and all who run to Him are spared. But God's wrath remains reserved for all who do not accept Jesus.

We need to legalize prostitution, with the only government involvement being to insure that each prostitute is in it of their own free will. We don't want government controlling what women do with their bodies. (I was using satire.)

Real life is like the first Matrix movie. Like Neo, we all start out in Satan's kingdom, deceived, thinking that is what life is. Morpheus is God, who offers us a choice to find real life. One pill keeps us in Satan's kingdom and the other pill takes us out and into God's kingdom. That pill is Jesus. We all, like Neo, have that choice. We all are the Chosen One, for Jesus died for all. And, like Neo, we all are able to identify, fight and defeat the forces that come against those who have chosen to be set free. This is real life.

Never trust a person or god who smiles all the time and is always nice to everyone.

In wracking my brain on how to address racial problems here in America, I think a good quality to cultivate is empathy. As Denzel Washington said: the playing field is not level. That should touch us. (p.s.- empathy is not pity.)

Banning high powered guns sounds good but does that mean the bad guys would have more fire power than the good guys?

14.
Funny thing. You can't legislate morality but you can legislate immorality.

Focusing on positive thinking can actually be a detriment to our Christian walk. Our relationship with God, purchased on the cross, should be the defining focus of our life, around which everything else revolves. As we meditate on God and study the Bible and learn about His nature, His "personality," so to speak, we don't have to worry about staying positive. Everything about God is positive.

16.
Every time someone dies, it should be a sad reminder of why Jesus had to die. Instead, the world says what a fine person the deceased was and tries not to think that the same thing is going to happen to them.

One element of love that is often overlooked is truth. The loving thing may not look like the loving thing. That's why man's love will always fall short. It takes the truth and guidance of the Holy Spirit. And that only comes through Jesus.

18.
Living your life without being in spiritual relationship with God through Jesus is like living it in black and white instead of color.

I think the things that roil our emotions and excite lust and exploit our weaknesses have a demonic component. Even though we try to overcome them, we will fail if we do not battle them in the spiritual instead of the mental. That’s why we must study the Bible and be led by the Spirit. We want to be able to stand before Jesus in the purity and victory we fought for by His power.

Recently saw a bumper sticker: God bless everyone. And we often hear the phrase: God bless you. It’s ok to say that as a desire or request, but the truth is that God’s blessings are contingent upon two things: accepting Jesus as having died for our sins, and actively addressing sin, especially willful ones, in our lives. We’ll probably never overcome them all, but we are to fight against them all. God wants us pure and holy. He can’t bless impurity and unholiness.

21.
Jesus is the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. I guarantee you that at the end of the road, each person will look back at their life and say, God knew what He was doing after all.

When I’m taking care of my 16 month old granddaughter, I have come to realize that I’m not to see her as a toddler who can be very frustrating at times. Rather, I’m to see her as one who all too soon will be a young woman with potential and God-given talents. And it changes the way I respond to her. I believe God sees us the same way. And, honestly, probably how we are to see each other.

23.
My definition of Nihilism: Thinking you can find meaning and purpose to life apart from Jesus.

24.
I repeat: no negative thought, emotion or memory has any legal authority over you because of the cross. The only power they have is what you give them.

25.
Jesus told Nicodemus: Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit. There is a whole spiritual world that science will never discover. God is God of the gaps all right.
